Position Summary: To serve as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, to provide therapeutic recreational and activity services to adult, adolescent, or child patients with emotional or substance abuse problems.
Essential Duties:
* Develops and implements activity therapy plans
* Maintains the clinical and administrative documentation for services rendered
* Participates in the effective allocation of department resources
* Requests supplies and equipment required for assigned activities
* Provides individual instruction for clients as required
Qualifications: Comprehensive knowledge of one or more activity areas such as recreation, occupational therapy, music, or arts and crafts; Comprehensive knowledge of individual and group behavior and effective ways of working with clients; Intermediate knowledge of the general nature of physical or mental illnesses/disabilities and/or developmental disabilities; Ability to apply and adapt skills and knowledge of activity areas to planned sessions of therapeutic activities; Ability to foster interest, initiative, responsibility, and experimentation in clients and discourage inappropriate responses; Ability to observe client behavior, record observations, and prepare reports; CTSR, ATR, MT-BC, drama therapy, or related disciplines preferred.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stoop, crouch, reach, stand, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Experienced clinicians with active LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, and Clinical Psychologist licenses in the State of Illinois are encouraged to apply. LCBH is a traditional outpatient practice that offers a full range of psychiatric and psychological services including psychiatric evaluation and medication management, psychological and neuropsychological assessment, individual therapy and counseling, family therapy and counseling, group therapy and counseling, and intensive outpatient programming for adolescents and adults.

• Identifies and assesses family or community resources such as, group homes, or mental health practitioners to meet patients' aftercare needs.
• Attends regular treatment team meetings to provide social work perspective to total case management of the patient by reading and discussing written progress notes from charts and communicating any state or local agency legal requirement for case management with the interdisciplinary team.
• Reports to community/state agencies any patient issues as required and represents facility in any legal proceedings.
• Provide backup services for incoming assessment and referral calls.
